The Flying Detective - Tour Begins Wop May Days 100th year Anniversary and World Premiere of
We were delighted to be invited to Premiere the first ever fully realized version of The Flying Detective to commemorate the 100th year anniversary of Canadian Hero Wop May, Detective James Campbell and their historic flight. The performance, commissioned by the Edson and District Historical Society, was attended by descendants of May and Campbell, distinguished members of Government and a lively crowd of enthusiastic patrons. Wop May Day was a incredible community celebration including an elegant Gala reception after the premiere, barbeques, and social functions. There were also games, diverse live musical performances, contests and much, much more. It was a rare privilege to have the opportunity to share a story with such significant roots in our local history and be able to celebrate as honoured guests of this unbelievably kind, gracious, vivacious and engaged community. It was an unforgettable experience.
